    Any Plans For Christmas?

Shame itís not going to be a white but just have to make the most of it. There, I said it.

Normally spend Xmas in Europe. We were in Solzberg and Vienna last year but this year will be spent at home. Windows are sprayed, tree and lights up but itís all a bit sweaty! All we need now is the Xmas pudding which I havenít sorced yet and and pies for Santa. My daughter has sent her list which include a bicycle that looks like my Africa Twin with matching schlond-poofer. Fortunatly, we found one with similar color coding.

BTW, are there still paces in BKK offering xmas lunch. Last one I went to was Londoner if I remember right.

Anyway, fock the holiday and have a Merry Christmas!

Back in the UK I would be going into bunker mode. Getting a little food and drink in to tide me over the closures and crowds. A big stack of books from the library then hunker down and ignore it all until the 2nd January when its all over for another year.

Here in up country Thailand its life as normal and no need to work at it to ignore it.

True, the little local Tescos is playing jingle fookin bells on a loop and the cashiers have been ordered to wear silly hats but there is a dead zone in the middle of the store near the ladies underwear where you can't hear the muzak and can sift aimlessly through the knickers looking for some hot panties that the wife will not want to wear.

I am normally a bah humbug type over the festive season.
As I will be spending the whole of Christmas and New Years as a guest of friends, I'm quite looking forward to it for a change.

Determined to have a go at this highly acclaimed work, which has been sitting on the shelf for a while.

If I don't respond it's because 1) Elvis' ghost haunting the place 2) US politics 3) wingnut blog spam 4) all three 5) sipping malt whisky on the terrace

Got a bike run planned through Khao Yai Park. One side to the other in one day if I can do it!

Christmas dinner at the local yaht club. It was built in the early 1920s, is right on the water and very historic. I am looking forward to it as it is me members only and I have never been inside.

2018 I have chosen to take a break from work (might even quit) and travel for a couple months around The Philippines. The Xmas break I'll spend doing some research and prep work as I've not been there before

True, but some places are much better than others. I spent most of my time in Ermita and mostly ate in the hotel which was lousy. Eventually we found a huge place very close that had very acceptable food. I'm sure there are more if you know your way around
