Now SOME offices are fining people (me for one) for not turning up at immigration within 24 hours of re entering the country to tell them, yet again what their address is. Even though they have it on 90 day reports, extensions, re entry applications AND the arrivals card you filled in the day before, you now have to get yourself up there and fill in another TM30 form. failure to do it is 2k fine, mrs nagged him down to 800 baht as technically the fine was hers being the house owner. If you are in Bkk or CM they have not started this money maker -yet

Had something like that with my condo in CM maybe 2 years ago. The tenant's partner got picked up outside and had to pay.

Think it was 1000thb or something.

Interesting to read that it should have been me that paid. :los:

Though would have been a bit strange as it was his Thai partner that was renting it and living there, and he was here for a few months studying and staying there with her.

Will keep an eye on what's happening, cheers.

Think there was a big spree of it around CM and Pattaya around 2 yrs ago.

Will be interesting if it happens again next month when I'm in CM. If they pull me and I show them the Chanote, will I, the owner, be fined for not reporting myself (the alien staying there). :D

They did say you have a week to do it, I don't trust anything they say though after 12 years
