Staying at friends house in Newbury Park Ca just before heading south again to LA and San Diego I had the chance to cook up some fresh salmon again. A much more simple meal, but with great friends. The woman I have know for 40 years since Chico State University, and her husband works for Dolby Sound, and used to be the sound man for the Stones, 8 years and 3 world tours. He developed the new 3D sound system called Dolby Atmos, its in a few theaters here. Gravity was one movie that had the system in certain theaters. http://www.dolby.com/us/en/technolog...lby-atmos.html

The kind couple who put us up. Their daughter is pre med at UC Berkeley and showed us around the campus the week before.

The barbecue, a nice big one and the table set outside. Gary is a big ham radio fan and was chatting with a colleague in NY. Its lovely that the sun does not set till after 8:30, this was about 8.

Cooking on the grill, I used Tiger sauce as a baste.

Plated with fresh sweet corn and a green salad, sourdough on the side.

Then Gary cooked up some Marysville peaches, just huge and sweet. Some cinnamon and sweet butter and about 15 minutes on the grill, served with fresh vanilla ice cream, fantastic.

We were off early the next morning for San Diego, coming back through LA proper and Disneyland for the kids.

              That looks simply brilliant.

Never thought of bbq peaches, but then good and large peaches are hard to come by here
