  • Is this annoying damn rule really necessary?

One creates a post, and after 10 minutes from that posting the author can no longer edit it, add to it, correct spelling or grammatical errors, or anything. The author has lost his creation- it is now part of the great blogosphere, no longer his, public property and all that. Even if, in your original haste, you did a basic spelling, grammmatical or factual error, or realise that as worded your post will likely be taken out of context.

Speaking as one who basically rattles out a post, then reads it and edits/adds to it of his own volition, I find this bluddy annoying. Is it really necessary, and if so, why only ten minutes? At least gives us half an hour.

Agree. I rarely make a post without going back to massage it later.

That's why my posts are so bitingly succinct and flawlesz.

    Give us more time.

Ok done - is 20 minutes enough time?. It was not a rule, but the software default time.
