Nok air which is Thai do the cheaper fares now to Ubon, air asia is more expensive.

Indeed. Real Hi-So's only fly Thai anyway, to avoid mixing with the hoi polloi. And they don't pay- how could you demand of a true lady or gentleman mere currency? Blame the buses.
