  • first love

in 19665 I went to the Wigram airbase in Christchurch to see my friends father race his Ferrari, but then I saw the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, a lotus driven by Jim Clark, it was gorgeous in board front suspension, monocoque chassis Light, nimble and sensual. Because in those days cars and drivers were real and accessible, in fact the lotus was in the paddock on grass. I met Jim and he invited me to sit in the car THEN I was in love, and there was no return from that
This morning I opened my email "ultimate cars" featured this exact same car. As it was raced by Jim in the Tasman series in Aust and NZ.
So as today is my BD and for a reward my Old lady had promised some thing appropriate after the kids have gone to school I refrained from expressing my happiness immediately.

Thanks Tex, maybe we should celebrate with some fine vintage Leo and some vintage tarts.

Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

Yes, it was thought provoking for me Earl to think when I was young randy teenager, I rode my BSA out to Wigram with my chick on the back of the bike meeting one of my idols. Jim Cark and sitting right54173.jpg expected to get laid, bombed out on that one, she had a great set of tits as well.

懐かしい Natsukashii (with connotations of nostalgia for an idealized past)

Utada Hikaru, I'd smash her doors in.

Happy Birthday Peter. Hope you can make your wife's present last more than 3 mins

Was going to tell you my my first car was a 15 year Austin A40, the open floor well model. But after your comment about Brit cars I will keep quite.

Brits make good racing cars my first race car was a formula ford Crossel but road cars they seem to miss the boat there. At that time any way, now McLaren make fine road cars built by my old company and at that time friend, so I have some fondness to the brand. Bruce gave me my first job, the kiwi connection helped.
