Motorcyclists banned from 39 flyovers, six tunnels

The Metropolitan Police Bureau has banned motorcyclists from using 39 vehicle flyovers and six tunnels at major intersections around the capital.
Royal Thai Police deputy spokesman Pol Maj Gen Piyaphan Pingmuang said violators of the ban will face hefty fines.
Piyaphan said exemption is allowed only for bridges that have no ground road under them for the motorcyclists to ride. The exempted bridges include the Pinklao Bridge and Sathorn Bridge, he said.
