The unidentified man had taken the two women to a private room at the club in Pattaya
Police and army officers burst in to find him naked in the hot tub with the women
Authorities have banned new strip clubs from opening in the city
Police chiefs say they will continue operations to clamp down on the sex trade

Soldiers burst into a Thai (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/thailand/index.html)brothel last night to find a man having a threesome with two young prostitutes in a jacuzzi.

The western man, who has not been identified, was drinking at the Rioja club in Pattaya when the raid was carried out.

He had taken the women, who were in their 20s, to a private room and paid around 3,000 baht - the equivalent of £70 - for an hour in the hot tub with them.

He had paid £70 to spend an hour in the private room with the two women, unaware that authorities were targeting the club

But authorities, who have recently banned new strip clubs from opening in the city, were at the same time continuing their raids on bars to root out prostitution.

Police and army officers found 15 sex workers downstairs drinking with customers, one having sex on a bed upstairs, and in the last of the ’short time' rooms the western tourist in a bubble bath.

He was drinking beer, smoking a cigarette and receiving oral sex from one naked woman while another watched.

Undercover officers initially entered the club and confirmed that sex was available by offering 3,000baht for a girl

Police chiefs have said that officers will continue to target the sex trade in Pattaya, which is described as a 'resort for families to enjoy'

Pattaya police chief Colonel Apichai Klobpetch said: 'This was another successful operation. We cannot allow this in Pattaya.

'This is a resort for families of every age to enjoy. We will continue more operations to clean the area.'

Undercover officers initially entered the club and confirmed that sex was available by offering 3,000baht for a girl.

After raiding the club, they found codoms, lubricant and other sex toys on the premises.

A 52-year-old woman who claimed to be in charge of the business was arrested and taken in for questioning.

Depending on what one considers the real issue or crime might be.

The rest of the world's family resorts have obviously a lot of catching up to do

The reality, however, is that, if one ignores the prostitutes and bars, Pattaya is a brilliant place for families. I cannot think of any outdoor activity that is not catered for. I lived in Pattaya and loved it but only visited bars to show them to friends when they visited Thailand on holiday. I had the advantage of having a car, and most tourists do not, so I was able to explore the region fully. The beaches near Rayong are world class.

I appreciate that there are huge numbers of sex tourists who flock to Pattaya and can honestly say that I think that this will never change. It is perfectly possible to live a decent life in Pattaya and I know because I actually did it. I only returned to the UK because of my mother's failing health and could easily have stayed there if she had not been ill.

Good grief , they are cess pits and definitely not with in shouting distance of a decent beach ,let alone world class .

I agree that the sea in Pattaya is filthy but the beaches to the east of Rayong are beautiful. They are usually deserted during the week. I will post some pics when I find them,

Ok , I'm more than happy to be corrected .

Small warning however , as an Ozzie you'll need to be on your beat game to convince me :los:

You are so lucky to be an Australian. We, in Wales, have to put up with scruffy little beaches like this one. Having said that it is probably the best in Europe and I have fished there many times.

agree with that, spent many happy hours having a beer and some food on the beaches east of Rayong earlier with my friends and later with my family, avoiding the filth on the water and the beach of Pattaya.

The beaches to the east of Rayong down towards Klang (however it's spelled) are rather nice but huge caution is needed going into the water. Rip tides of biblical proportions are known along that stretch.

I neglected to take pictures which show how beautiful the beaches are and only took a few showing the kids enjoying them. A little boy, no more than ten, had his own business hiring out inner tubes and was clearly doing well as he had his own motorbike. The riptide warning is valid but was no problem to me as I was fully aware of it and kept an eye on them.

I spent some time down in Ban Phe some years ago. Was a nice quiet spot. We stayed in a pretty basic Thai guest house on the beach road and had a nice lazy few days there. It had some bars along the beach where you could get a drink and a meal. There was a fair on at the time and at the end of it there we could not get any transport back to the guest house, so the fire crew who were there with a display, gave us a lift back to the guest house on their fire engine. It was a real treat for the kids.

A Farang purge might be much more beneficial and practical.

Just saying like, for those missing the bigger picture.
