  • Yamaha Tricity

I spotted an advert for one of these for sale in Pattaya , not too sure what to think , after watching the youtube video it does look like fun to ride . any one had this model or ridden one or have thoughts on it

I asked my wife what she thought and she asked , is it for disabled people

I think you are only about two years behind the times. These things are everywhere. Not quite as quick as a conventional two wheeler but can be made that way. Twice as much rubber at the front for steering and stopping. Equally able to weave in traffic but a little bit more expensive. Made in Thailand , sold world-wide

Been in Europe for longer. Look at Piaggio MP3

Need to stick out in a crowd with a technological advantage?

See where your wife is coming from as they do look that way. A bit like the German messerschmitt car originally designed for disabled veterans.

Wouldn't buy one myself. Only benefit is see in them as not having to put your feet down at a stop. Or if you can't balance a bike.

          JJ ,

I wonder if after trying one of these out , there would be more hidden benefits come out , other than the one's you pointed out , what sort of buyer is the Tricity aimed at .

Is every thing with 3 wheels considered to be for the disabled ?

Well I am thinking. Either that or an SH150. Tricity gives double disks so better stopping, can tackle uneven surfaces better. Not so much the two front wheels but the leg sheild looks a bit ... well..awkward?

                Not sold yet though but...
