  • Anyone buying gold ?

All the gold commentators of the last 10 years have lost their credibility over the last couple in the average simpletons mind. That includes me. Sure gold has been in the gutter.

But good luck fighting gravity. Get yourself some gold. Now.

Just like in the 70's, gold went from $100 to $200, then back down to $100 because everyone thought the "US economy was improving" heh how did thy turn out ?

i previously thought this retrace was in the books already cuz gold fell quite a bit in 2008. But I was wrong on that. Now we are in te bottom of the retrace. Time to get in

There's no failsafe or sure security in gold either, as some will slobber over.

They control precious metals as well.

I've been thinking about hedging on some gold seeing as the world stock markets look to have the jitters back.

What you reckon, $1,000 to start?

You should have 10% of your entire net worth in physical. It's a good time to move in. It's the only low hanging fruit left. Stocks are expensive all other the world. As is bonds and real estate. There is only one depressed asset in the world right now. That is gold.

You aren't spending money when you buy gold. You are just doing a currency exchange.

The dedicated gold bug is far better off buying established gold mining stocks imo- lower commissions, liquidity, much lower holding costs, and dividend yield.

Well we are in a sovereign debt bubble that has been going for over 30 years now. Not a gold bug but anyone with a basic understanding of arithmetic can see that the lowest bond yields can go is zero and the record high prices of sovereign debt reflects that. The Netherlands hasn't had interest rates this low in 500 years. That's not a typo. 500 years.

Central banks will be holding more of their reserves in physical gold going forward. It will go back to normal. Central banks don't buy mining stocks. It's a good speculation but it's not raw savings like physical is

Then taking a mythical 1 million dollar asset portfolio, that would be 100k in gold.

So what about the other 90% , shares? Property ? Cash?

Good question. I have a confession to make. I am personally about 75% gold. The rest is cash, mining stocks and zero leverage real estate.

Jewish ppl have a history of putting their excess purchasing power in the right place during times of big trend changes and monetary collapses. They are as high as 90% gold now.

But anyone with none doesn't know anything about exonomcs
