Thai tourism hit by political troubles

Official figures from country's tourism industry show Kingdom strongly affected by political troubles and May 22 coup, showing a 10.2 percent drop in tourist arrivals

It does show, however, that Thailand's tourism industry doesn't have to try too hard to attract tourists . . . this horrible phase will end and numbers will start going up again at the latest by next year.

We won't be having any long-weekends in Thailand in the foreseeable future, though
