If one was to end ones life I doubt that would be the preferred method , in fact I doubt it would even rate a thought when debating how to achieve the desired result. RIP.

What annoys me about these common stories is not the lack of professionalism from local authorities, but the lack of care from our embassies. England and the US for example open their arms and welcome Thais and others and allow them to buy land and take advantage of our benefits, which I'd have no objection to if it applied here. But Thailand is for the Thai.

Bout time our embassies grew some balls!

^ Maybe time for foreigners to leave. I know I'm sick of supporting it and now spend as little as possible such as not hiring a maid, eating in most of the time and when I am out, no longer leaving tips, etc., etc.

I also wish the groups that go around cleaning up trash Thais thrown on the ground without a care would stop. Let the Thais see what disgusting filth they live in when foreigners act as they do. I almost want to go dump my garbage next to the road like so many Thais do.

Polish Tourist Found Dead In Luxury Hotel

          http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/gene...-dead-in-hotel

A Polish man was found dead with a severe knife wound to his throat in the bathroom of a luxury hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 23 in Bangkok late Friday night.

The 42-year-old tourist, wearing a white bathrobe, was found lying in a pool of blood. A 10-centimetre knife was found in the bathroom, Manager Online reported.

There were no traces of a struggle in the room and none of the man's belongings had been stolen, said Pol Sub Lt Thotsaphol Insith, a duty officer at Thong Lor police station.

Hotel staff told police that the man had checked in on Wednesday and was scheduled to leave on Friday afternoon. After the checkout time passed, a staff member phoned the room but received no answer. She then went to the room and knocked several times but got no response.

Pol Sub Lt Thotsaphol said police initially believed the man might have killed himself but they need to investigate further. Officers will examine closed-circuit television footage to see if anyone else entered his room and look for other possible clues about this death.

Authorities are now working with the Polish embassy to contact the man's relatives.

Is this a regular event? My wife says Thailand is pretty safe for Americans.

JJ as you know Embassies are set up to provide an avenue of communication between governments and to facilitate trade between countries they are not in place to provide nanny services to tourists.

Thailand is not safe. As many murders as the US percentage of population. The roads kill thousands a year, I think around 18000. Never get pissed off with a Thai, be mild and not brash about being 'merican' The recent coup has brought criticism from the US and a pulling back of military aide. Many great things about it but it is about as un-American as you can find. They also drive on the other side of the road, sometimes.

If you stay clear of the flesh pits, then most farangs will not have much trouble, but just remember that the rough side of town is very rough especially after dark.

This sounds very harsh don't want to put you off, just thought you may want a heads up.

Is she Thai? Wonder how many foreign men are knocked off by their Thai wives every year. Probably hundreds.
