Raja Muda Says Perlis Has Potential To Attract Muslim Tourists From Thailand
KRABI (Southern Thailand), March 16 (Bernama) -- Perlis has the potential to attract more Muslim tourists from Thailand, the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, said here.
He said the state's attractions included political stability, security, a harmonious and tourist-friendly multiracial society, halal food and opportunities to pursue Islamic studies.
"Perlis offers all of these, including religious studies at the secondary and tertiary institutions. We also have a close relationship with communities in Southern Thailand that existed for centuries," said Tuanku Syed Faizuddin.
He said this at a ceremony to introduce Perlis cuisine at the Krabi Bay Front Resort here during a three-day working visit with the members of the Perlis Malay Customs and Islamic Religious Council (MAIPs) to the Krabi province, yesterday.
Also present was the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil.
