Don't listen to all the negativity, socal. Seriously.
The Phils welcome foreign investment and entrepreneurs, not much red tape unlike LoS or the nanny states.

Head to one of the popular beaches for a holiday, go for a partnership with one of the local Phili resort/restaurant owners with beach access, buy 10 jet skis to start with - the biggest business pulls most punters - and watch the money roll in while you relax.
You don't even have to be there yourself - delegate, let the flipos run an efficient source of income - you'll be safe if a contract is signed with lawyers involved, maybe a local police commander as witness.
