God, the panic within the Dems, MSM, and left must be horrifying...realizing that Joe is really the best they've got.

I don't find Isaan boring at all.
it's not, the best thing the family ever did was move out of Bangkok to udon or some other rural area, but cockians like to think they have it all in their polluted city.

I really love Isaan, lived there in my mid-20's. Got bored after a year or so, so moved on. Lack of International schools is a bit of an issue, but Bkk isn't a good place for a kid to grow imo, so we'll be moving on soon enough.

It contains issues of the day & for some folks who can't or won't accept reality, that can be disconcerting...

I probably would not live there, but I enjoy a trip upcountry now and again.
You could say exactly the same thing if you lived in Isaan, with it's friendly and refreshingly honest people, fresh air and so on- but periodically enjoyed a trip 'downcountry'. Which is exactly what I did for a period of nine years or so. Visits to Pattaya, Phuket, Bangkok if necessary, Surin, Udon Thani (the Pattaya of Isaan!) etc etc were part of the agenda, and even some foreign travel thrown in- Cambo & Laos nearby, Malaysia, UK & Oz. It's quite the done thing with most of the resident farangs.

Of course it is quite ridiculous to refer to Isaan so stereotypically- we're talking of a sizable region that encompasses some 38% of Thailands population, and every lifestyle from Thailands second largest conurbation (Korat) to the smallest family hamlet (such as I lived in- permanent population of 5 when I left, plus a handful of FiFo's). I just take 'Isaan' to mean a stereotype for rural Thailand.

And what do foreigners mostly think of when you mention Thailand? Well that's quite simple- cheap sex, hot weather and beaches. Probably 'cus they don't have much of either.

That US constitution seriously needs revamping.
And the latest illegitimate Thai 'constitution' needs trashing, again.

I could, but I'd get treatment at Bumrungrad or something similar.

Bumrungrad is expensive but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.
My wife had dental work done at Chula Hospital which is not that much cheaper than Bumrungrad and it was shite. Got it all reworked at Bumrungrad from a qualified oral surgeon.
