I almost posted on it bit didn't. I handed in my resignation in Bangkok the same month because I'd arranged a transfer to the London office. It fell though because of the financial crash, but that's a different story. I remember shortly afterwards when I posted about it rAntiny posting "Smeg would still be in Thailand if he hadn't lost his job!" which perfectly illustrated his weird blinkered wrong-minded thinking, and that being in Thailand is all that mattered to him.

Had I posted on his thread I'd have predicted that he'll be moving from one tedious rut job to another and instead he should return to NZ and buy a house. Had he put his money into that over the last 13 years instead of international school fees and his landlady's prefab he'd be able to retire soon by renting that NZ house out and returning to Thailand. Instead he's looking for a job in PaknSave so he can get in 15 years more NZ residency before he's 65.

As for his daft comment above that I didn't retire two years ago in my 40s and that I was applying for jobs in my 50s, he's contradicting the content of his stalked document. He really is weird blinkered bitter and dumb

The strange thing about Ms. Tinkles the TC day drunk posts here on this thread was that the unemployable deadbeat loser smeg was trying to distract from the facts here in the retirement thread and switched over to the Lawyer thread.

The elephant in the room with his resignation thread is that it caused encouragement and backslaps from a bunch of thaiophiles who also wanted to stay in Thailand as long as possible. There was no sense check, and it would have caused the same "smug, self-satisfied and very very lucky" feelings in him that he posted about a few months beforehand on the sinsot thread at having got a cheap sinsot and having not married a bargirl.
