So I'm reduced to watching Fear Factor instead of living it on a rotating 12 hour shift. I'd call it even.. Though this is quite a boar compared to operating power plants, I should be the last one to complain. I had a good run and that's what matters. Hell they are are doing these stunts for 50K. Not bad for a few minutes a day.Comment

I went down to the Union Hall today and this is what they said as I told them I was done. It sounded like a Kenny Rodgers song. Through the years...I'm done ... now if he would have called me Lady I'd have knocked him out not expecting to get out any time soon.
As I called it quits I reminded him, the man that never did what I have. I said I've operated six power plants, the only man in the system to operate at them all. Pleasant Prairie is now torn down so no one in the town can say they did all six.
Sounds like a country song in the making.. Oak Creek, Milwaukee County, Pleasant Prairie, Start up crew at Elm Road Generation Station, The Valley on coal then gas, Port Washington as it stands, what a gas.Comment

The plan is to put a slab a few feet above the farms grade. That should keep the cars out of the water if the river ever floods.
I'm planning on a 40 ft along the river 30ft deep. Or should I say thirty feet east. Steps on the north side leading down to ground level just below the bridge bringing the two homes together at the upper deck.
I'll keep a 4 weal drive and the bikes we want to ride below it just for kicks.Comment
