I almost miss the place. It was the sixth power plant that I operated.
I can't complain because WE had a good run and I'm sitting on a nut shell thanks to them.

That is the 580 elevation at Elm Road Power Station. Built by the Bechtel power group.
Yea, funny story is that they could build it but then that was about it. They said now you run it.
A few guys helped us get it off the ground. One or two engineers and that was it. You see it's not the welders, electricians, the pipe crew or any other workers job to fly this Led Zeppelin, and so we read and wrote the book.

This is a good one. Bounced it off the banks of the Mekong several times. They are either still scratching their heads or pissed that we were up so late.
Just wait till I build the hotel, neighbors be up for living hell. Loud music every night. Oh, something tells me that it's not ...right . Ok I'll buy all their plots or just as easy, sail away becoming a town house mouse on a boat along the shore. Won't here from me no more.

The plan is to put a slab a few feet above the farms grade. That should keep the cars out of the water if the river ever floods.
I'm planning on a 40 ft along the river 30ft deep. Or should I say thirty feet east. Steps on the north side leading down to ground level just below the bridge bringing the two homes together at the upper deck.
I'll keep a 4 weal drive and the bikes we want to ride below it just for kicks.

I went down to the Union Hall today and this is what they said as I told them I was done. It sounded like a Kenny Rodgers song. Through the years...I'm done ... now if he would have called me Lady I'd have knocked him out not expecting to get out any time soon.
As I called it quits I reminded him, the man that never did what I have. I said I've operated six power plants, the only man in the system to operate at them all. Pleasant Prairie is now torn down so no one in the town can say they did all six.
Sounds like a country song in the making.. Oak Creek, Milwaukee County, Pleasant Prairie, Start up crew at Elm Road Generation Station, The Valley on coal then gas, Port Washington as it stands, what a gas.
