    Always page-turning excitement.
Don't mind his work, with the exception that he's one of these flag-waving patriot types, which surely would play on his intelligence.

    Does spin a good tale.
    Especially his early work.

Got to have deep insider contacts to write as he does.

          Indeed.
He was a simple 'Insurance Salesman' and came out with stuff like 'Hunt for Red October'

Here's "The Plague" by Albert Camus, in case you don't already have it and you want to read/reread it:

A haunting tale of human resilience in the face of unrelieved horror, Camus' novel about a bubonic plague ravaging the people of a North African coastal town is a classic of twentieth-century literature.

I've been looking to liquidate some very old books. I'd post a pic or two but am a bit far off of post #'s. Some may be worth a coin or two. As I recall I've a 1919 Bible for what it's worth as well as some Plato, Butler, Voltaire, Hawthorn and Cooper just to name a few.

There's a very good used bookstore on Sukhumvit two blocks east of the Emporium that will buy your books.

                Dasa Book Cafe.

I'm in the states with a plan to downsize eventually. I've had these in the library for years. A gal I knew bought a house on S.27th street for at the time was 60k. Yea, many years ago. The place was loaded with turn or the century "stuff". I walked with the books after helping her move into the place.
Not exactly the Pabst Mason but really old school.

Virtually all my reading these days is on a kindle. When this Wuhan Flu shit is over with, I've got to unload a ton of dead tree books probably at that aforementioned bookstore on Sukhumvit.

I've never read that one but then again I've never married. I guess like most you needn't or don't look for a cure untill you have the sickness.

I have heard that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure so I pick up an ounce way back in high school. Then I sat back, took a good look around and figured a few things out.

I'm currently reading Gas Turbine Handbook, Third Edition. Who would have thought Hero of Alexandria had the idea -130 BC. Leonardo da Vinci's "smoke mill"-1550. And as early as 1791 John Barber had a patent for a steam turbine that describes other fluids or gases as potential energy sources.

                          ???
