Unbelievable : I had been a member of the facebook group *Snakes of Chiang mai * for a few years and today someone posted this message to the group :

*If you are male, do not comment or you will be muted*
In many areas of the web, women have created separate, women-only groups where they feel more comfortable. I don't see women commenting a lot in our snake groups, and I am wondering if creating a group, something like "Snakes of... for Women" where women can post snakes, comment and learn might encourage women to be more active. Let me know below!
All I did was to reply with a post to the group :
*What about Males who identify as Females , would we be allowed to post photos of our snakes to the group"
And they banned and blocked me for that .
IMO , the original post was sexist , not allowing certain members from joining based on their gender and discrimination based on race and gender has no place in todays World .
I feel harshly done by
