  • Noise pollution in a backward nation of daft little peasants

Pulled up next to an outdoor cafe to buy some takeaway food? Why not leave the engine running for 15 minutes on your clapped-out pickout truck while you wait for it to be cooked. Screw the people sat next to it eating their dinner, only you are important.

Want a couple of guard dogs? Why not keep them locked in your yard 24/7 and encourage them to bark all day and night to keep away those nasty burglars. Screw the neighbours that have to listen to it, only you are important.

Want to visit a quiet tourist spot? Why not turn up and shout to your friends in infantile excitement while stood a metre from them, then switch on some shit dance music on your phone to make tik tok vids with. Screw the people already there to enjoy some serenity, only you're important.

Want to make sure that dopey twat car drivers don't forget to use their eyes before pulling out in front of your motorbike? Why not take off the exhaust pipe so that they'll hear you coming from 200 metres away. Screw the entire community whose eardrums will never be the same again, only you are important.

    Love 'em really

^Where are you nowadays, still in Ramsgate?

The only Thai thing I recognise there is the bit about the dogs. Our neighbours have three dogs which are chained up outside 24/7 and bark if you approach the house.

The shouting thing is a Chinese habit. Covid has some accidental benefits and it's nice and quiet around town these days.
I visited TC a few times as a guest but had to stop. It is a sickening place. - Aging One

Never been to Ramsgate, is it nice? Haven't set foot in Europe for almost a year.

Perhaps you instead enjoy the pleasure of your upwind neighbour deciding that the 10 kilos of plastic garbage they've dumped around the perimeter of their house over the past year needs disposing of, so gathers it up and sets fire to it just as you head into your garden

No one does that round here, no need. We have a government garbage truck round once a week.

Near my (ex) father in law's house in Isaan, they used to burn plastic on the footpath outside the local temple.

As for noise, what you say is of course true...... just not all the time. But when it happens, it is astonishing

So many Thais keep dogs in cages in their garden that become mentally ill. Such cruel selfish & ignorant monkeys deserve having the same done to themselves.

Pitbulls have become trendy recently so expect a rise in stray ones within a year or so as owners get too lazy to look after them properly.

The "I'm macho because I have a mean and dangerous dog" trend has caught on there too ?

^ I remember walking past some shophouses and some sort of bulldog was asleep in front of one of them. Thais being lazy cnuts that never walk anywhere, the thing wasn't used to pedestrians passing. The thing ran at me snarling and tried to bite me, so I kicked it in the teeth. Its monkey shopkeeper of a owner, who watched this unfold, started hurling abuse at me for kicking his dog.

These people belong back in the jungle....
