Strange thing is that the Friendship mart had Jim Beam for a few dollars less than I pay in the states. I figure it has to do with taxes. A case of beer Lao was 100,000 kip so ten or twelve bucks.
You can get the local hooch in a zip lock bag for about a buck. I shy away from it for fear of going blind or something.

As for the door I do believe it has been slammed shut and that's fine. If I need to read up or figure things out there are other sources. Plenty of YouTube vids out there by many expats.

I met a gal from India near one of my Crack houses. Haha, cracked the bank to get this one. Back in 2009 they had more than they could manage with winter comming on. Yup, foreclosures galore sale and you thought the banks were screwing us.....well they try.
. On with the story. So after my stepson moved out just after our 2019 trip to laos I decided to do some upgrades and not rent it out. A good move as the virus began. Other folks I know have multiple units with people that do not have to pay rent due to mandates on payment etc.
As I use it for a halfway house to work and a project that's ongoing I could not be happier to say that I've posted this from the same crapper I used to get in pizzfights on T D from. Only difference is I could sell this place for five times what I paid eleven years ago.
. Gotta love it. As for the gal with the liquor store I showed her pics of the house in Laos we built in 2010 and told her I didn't mind paying an extra buck or two for the same Beam I could get at a big box store simply because I'm cool like that.
