It's probably against protocol to go diving by yourself but that's what he did.

          Tis the season

Young British man falls to death from hotel in Pattaya
A young British man fell to his death from a hotel near Jomtien beach this afternoon (June 7th), Pattaya Police reported.

The Pattaya City Police was notified of the incident at a hotel near Jomtien beach around 1:00 P.M.

Police, emergency responders, and The Pattaya News responders arrived at the eight-story hotel to find the body of the British man, 20, on the ground near the hotel wearing only a pair of boxers. (The Pattaya News is withholding his name pending notification of his embassy and his family. The hotel name is withheld pending further investigation per standard editorial policy.)

Pattaya Police told reporters the man stayed on the fifth floor of the hotel. However, police are checking CCTV at the hotel to see which level the man fell down from and the exact cause of death. We will provide any further updates on this story as they come in.

Yes, it is, but it states nowhere in the text that he did.

Keep up the good work, skidmark!

Anyway, it's probably against protocol to go pool-diving coked up and drunk...

I didn't know people used Thailand Chatter forum for their #1 national news source. Noted. Future reports will include links.

Well yeah. Drinking and swimming dont mix well. And the husband had health problems. But 2 functionally heathy people dying at once is just strange.

Maybe the son wanted to take over the assets and live big.

Update here at TC national news
More details uncovered in billionaire couple’s Koh Tao death

Details are emerging on the tragic drowning death of a billionaire hotel owner and his wife in Koh Tao last week as police investigate further. Along with a more detailed picture of the events of the day, a few inconsistencies emerged from the original information as the story broke, including a time gap between the first shouts of trouble were heard, and when staff was summoned to aid in an attempted rescue.

The timeline now established for the day of the billionaire couple’s death. The 59 year old Rakeshwar Sachatamakul arrived in Koh Tao with 55 year old wife Anshoo and 34 year old son Ratish in the morning, heading to the hotel that he booked online. The family was unhappy with the accommodation, which was small and under construction, so at 11 am they were picked up by a driver from Jamahkiri Resort & Spa and transferred to the second hotel.

The couple grabbed a beer and ordered room service lunch while their room was made up, and then moved to their room at 12:17 pm. Later, Ratish dropped his bag and phone at reception and checked out a kayak. Shortly after, his parents stopped by reception to ask for directions to the pool at the sprawling resort.

Next Ratish returned to reception to return the kayak and pick up his bag and phone and a staff member gave him directions to the pool also. At 3:49 pm 4 or 5 shocked outcries were heard by a staff member, but looked around and saw no one, so he went back to work, not suspecting anything about the death of the billionaire and his wife. Strangely, it wasn’t until 12 minutes later at 4:01 pm that after another loud shout, Ratish was spotted at the pool frantically calling for help.

When staff arrived at the pool, Rakeshwar was on his back on the steps of the pool and was then pulled out by another employee on hand. Staff called a Koh Tao Hospital doctor and emergency rescue workers. The doctor on the phone walked them through first aid and a CPR heart pump.

Contrary to earlier information, Ratish’s mother Anchoo was not with his father, and he asked staff to help find his mother. Staff searched around and then found Anchoo’s body floating at the other end of the somewhat winding pool. She was at the edge of the deep end of the pool (not that shallow end as earlier reported) and rescue workers pulled her from the pool to transport her body to the hospital.

It is now reported that Rakeshwar was still alive when he was transported to the hospital and died shortly after arriving.

Yesterday police stepped up the investigation into the billionaire couple’s death of the wealthy hotelier and industrialist with the announcement of the commander of the Surat Thani Provincial Police had joined the investigation. The Crime Suppression Division was ordered to review the case further by Thailand’s Deputy National Police Commissioner on Monday.

Provincial Police Region 8’s commander also joined the Koh Tao Police originally investigating the deaths. A full reenactment of the afternoon of the billionaire couple’s death was carried out and police are focusing on gathering every bit of evidence possible for the investigation. A full autopsy is being performed on both victims at the Police General Hospital in Bangkok, with results expected to be delivered within a week or two.

The Ukraine ambassador to Thailand, Andrii Beshta, died on Sunday morning while holidaying with his son on Koh Lipe off Satun province.

A preliminary report by Koh Lipe police said the 45-year-old ambassador had possibly died due to acute heart failure, adding there was no evidence of injuries on the body or no signs of foul play at the scene.
Ostap Beshta, the 17-year-old son of the ambassador, said his father was in the room at 11pm on Saturday night before he vomited and lost consciousness at 4.30am.
A full investigation into the cause and circumstances surrounding the death are underway.
Beshta was appointed as Ukraine’s ambassador to Thailand in 2015 and planned to return to home later this year.

                          https://www.stickboybkk.com/news/wom...cooking-class/

The family of a famous online chef were pleading with social media users to stop sharing video footage of the moment she died while live-streaming a cookery class.

In the footage circulating on Facebook, Ms Pimporn is seen chatting and laughing with viewers before beginning the lesson.

Two minutes into the class in her kitchen she suddenly collapses over the cooker where she was frying ingredients and falls to the floor.

Shortly after a member of the household finds her and shuts off the video.

Later updates from a family member stated 40-year-old Pimporn suffered from an enlarged heart resulting in an acute heart attack.

Despite pleas from the family, the video has been shared and viewed almost 1 million times.

A 54-year-old Udon Thani woman died after allegedly getting electrocuted from her new smartphone while charging it.

The woman, identified as Yooyen Saenprasert, received the phone as a birthday gift two days before from her husband Praiwan Saenprasert.

Her lifeless body was found on her bed by her husband with burn marks on her hands when he returned home from a day out fishing.

Mr Saenprasert told police that his wife spent most of her evenings playing video games on her phone but he didn’t expect such dire consequences while charging the phone.

Despite efforts by paramedics to revive her, it is claimed that she had been dead for more than four hours before her body was found.

An autopsy will be carried out to determine the actual cause of death.

A 46 year old Bangkok woman that died on Tuesday after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine, died from a heart attack, says the autopsy.

                              https://thethaiger.com/news/national...zeneca-vaccine
                              Dr Atthasit Dulamnuay says:

The right atria of the woman’s heart was found to be ruptured, causing a haemorrhage of 180cc of blood and severe pulmonary oedema, in which excessive amounts of fluid builds up in the lungs

Dr Atthasit cautions that it is still unknown if the woman’s death is in any way related to her getting the vaccine and more medical examinations of her body are underway.

The doctor adds that the chance of unpleasant side effects is still less than 1 in 100,000.

The woman’s niece says she took her aunt to get vaccinated at the Thai Business Administration Technological College in Bangkok on Tuesday. However, when her aunt got home, she complained of a headache and mild fatigue.
