I am an Asian addict - the food, the culture the woman the whole Asian way of life. And Japan, Hong Kong and SG are way to expensive. That's why I ended up here. Why are you in Thailand rather than your home country or some place like Panama, Costa Rica, Brazil or some other developing nation?

Came for a holiday and fell in love with Thailand and a Thai girl. Now days it's a love hate relationship with Thailand as I enjoy the freedom here but there are many negatives especially when dealing with the government departs or schools and general retardation. Cost of performance vehicles is high, standard of food low.
pretty well set up in Thailand housing and children so won't be going to far maybe taking a live in position in the Middle East soon with the family, wife has been many times and has no problem moving.

Close to six years as a working expat in Singapore
Now in my fifth year as a working expat in Malaysia
Asia can be a very fulfilling place to live, interesting and . . . WARM!
Thailand was an experiment - born there (both parents posted to Thailand) and felt a kind of kinship - moved to Thailand, startetd a business . . and couldn't stand the primitive nature of people, the short-sightedness in general and the general lifestyle . . .
So - another country . . . and probably heading back 'home' in a few years to allow the kids to develop their academic connections to help them in their working lives later on . . . there is no way I'd let them grow up in Thailand. Malaysia maybe and Singapore - no problem.

It is more difficult for developing nations because they want to develop quickly without quite appreciating the costs and the infrastructure necessary to evolve effectively.
Tempted by shortcuts, they will always be open to corrupt practice.
The current prosaic system of education is also underdeveloped by definition.
Unless you have evidence to the contrary?

There are many instances where it could corrctly be described as a third world country.
This is in no way a Thai bashing post, but you cannot describe the place as anything other than a developing country, with a number of areas where it is clearly still in the third world.
Please give examples to justify you position.

That is not terribly clever is it Jeffrey? Care to make the same response in English.
Please try to justify your original comments, re Thailand being a developing country. Any language acceptable, subject to forum rules of course.

Heh..
Kindly desist from childish insults and obfuscation. Any chance at all you might ever justify your comments? Any chance at all?
