TChatter needs more photo threads...
My +ve random thought- just watched Anthony Bourdain's 'Parts Unknown' episode on Thailand- set in & around CM actually. Really good, kinda reminds the jaded expat why he came here in the first place. Bourdain loved it too. It's not a cooking show- it's an eating and living show.

Typical of Mr. Bourdain's "travel" shows.....quite enjoyable.
Don't know if you are aware of the popular old programs of his:
No Reservations
The Layover
Both long-running and similar to PU. Always enjoyed his straight forward, down to earth style...if not slightly witty and cynical.
Both, No Reservations and The Layover full uncut episodes [120 +] can be found freely on Youtube if you are inclined.

Only watched his episodes in Israel/ Palestine, Mississippi delta country & Chiang Mai so far (Brazil coming up)- I'm a convert.
Looking forward to inner Detroit, Congo, Tangiers, 'weird' Tokyo- heck, reckon I'll try them all. Nice to be pleasantly surprised.
Apparently the CNN connection made it a lot easier to get to some weird places & do a show- so good stuff. Wouldn't mind his job.Last edited by sabang; 08-12-2014, 07:35 AM.

Actually, you'll find that his old productions [sans CNN] left him exploring some lesser explored parts of the world. Whereas the CNN-inspired production can be short of predictable.
Entertaining nonetheless.
