Little extra: Southern girls and hurricane season

Couple days ago spent the better part of the day helping with the trimming of some live oaks in anticipation for the coming hurricane season: https://mashable.com/article/hurrica...st-prediction/

Southern Girls: I forget sometimes how nice some can be. The contractor who came out to trim the trees around the house had his wife with him. It is a side business for him. Nice guy. Anyway he called and told me he was on way and I told him I would meet him at the gate. Truck and trailer pull up with a woman driving. She rolls down the window. WOW! Green eyes, blond hair (tied up) with streaks of blue and orange. Nice looking woman.

I asked them to go to the house and I would follow with a loader and rake (replaced the bucket). Both were unloading the equipment from the trailer (lift and stump grinder) shortly after I arrived. He started the trimming and she took out a chainsaw and was trimming the branches to make it easier to load into the rake to be moved away (by me). She was a strong woman moving 8 to 10 inch diameter 10 foot oak limbs around, cutting them to manageable sizes for the rake.

          • 70 and sunny, mild winds. The walking paths had motion as in peddle bikes and walkers, no not that kind though you could probably get a lift there for older members ,yes members are welcome in this area. Unless you're breaking out of somewhere or something. PM matter well beyond. ....oh nevermind. Maybe you been there. Sad.

            • By bikers I had seen a few packs on peddles ans a young group on small " screamers" kids getting out. Must have been eight of them.
I wished I was on the 67 Yamadog heading into town.

Eh? May is CM's third wettest month.

I can't stand places with long bone dry cloudless seasons and the resulting dustiness.

                        • Nice out, but a little warm to spend any time working outside this late in the day. Summer is starting. About the photo: First fawn this season. The mother has been bringing it by to visit for the past few weeks but this is the first time they both spent time enough in the yard for me to get a picture.

                            • Things are getting hotter in Hong Kong.

I can't blame the British for that, can I?

Anyway today's over 70 Fahrenheit and I have the day off. It'll be the second time I've mowed this lawn this year. A bit of a chore but comming from the other place I've been fixing up ( bought it outright from a bank in 2010 ) It's worth every penny of todays value.

Housing prices have held around here thus far. May be a few deals as some have suffered from the Woohan that flew.

                              • But that's in the city. Sad but reality. Don't think I'll be looking at picking anything up anytime soon. I'll have to weather this one out.
