Looks like nice weather out there Landreth

Coolish 12deg C for me with sunshine and showers

I remember my trip up the Statue of Liberty a while back.
Travelled down on the tube from about 109, then queued for the ferry from Battery Park, then once on Staten Island queued in the maze outside the statue.

Finally accessing the structure it took about 2 hours to get to the top, and back, in the human, slow-moving snake.

Great views from the head, but was only in there for a few moments, as the human snake had to keep moving.

Then the reverse back to 109 street, which was up alongside Central Park.

All in all a full day plus for those few moments

Empire State and World Trade Centre were also exhilarating tours.

They moved the statue to Staten Island? How unusual.

As soon as the first flake of snow begins its descent onto Chicago.

It's the start of the bad stuff

50mph gusting winds, 7 deg C, driving rain, and hail stones , with the odd sunny interlude

No matter if it is 110 F or 70 F in Thailand, it is still blistering, sweaty hot to me. But it beats the snow and cold any day.
