  • Boon Mee's Recent Imm. Experience

Well, they say there's nothing new under the sun unless it has to do with getting
one's visa to live in LOS extended.

After scores of years here, learned a new one yesterday when I prepared to visit my local Immigration office. This story has more to do with he prep work than the actual mechanics of sitting through the process (brief) at the Immigration office.

If you use Bangkok Bank as I do for the 800K THB and you visit another branch to obtain the Letter based on your passbook issued from a different branch, it doesn't work. The branch I initially used yesterday was unable to issue to Letter even after telephoning the Main Bangkok Bank in Silom. They were "locked out" as it were so...moi had to go to the originator branch of Bangkok Bank to get the Letter issued. A 60km round trip.

I suppose I could have cancelled the passbook at the first branch and opened another passbook but then Immigration would look askance at the <3 month 'seasoning' date and that would have been a hassle.

Everything else went tickiteeboo at the Immigration Office. No surprises there other than I should have gone mid-week as the place was mobbed by dozens of Burmese.
God, the panic within the Dems, MSM, and left must be horrifying...realizing that Joe is really the best they've got.

Totally agree regarding Bangkok Bank's inefficiencies. Addressed that in the OP when I mentioned "prep work" rather than any Immigration hassles.

Bangkok Bank is the default bank for Americans to receive their SS checks wired directly here.

and you admitted not have a Thai O-A Visa on another thread here, when the only Thai Visa that requires you to have 800,000 baht in a bank account is a Thai O-A Visa? : https://thaiembdc.org/consular-servi...t-category-oa/

It's simple really - ad nasuem - butt-hurt Landreth seeks to resurrect some semblance of FACE which he's been losing big-time after supporting Satan's Prom Queen and now incompetent Joe Biden.

Including this Pink Card fracas which he refuses to let go of...

...probably boredom...after all, what is there to a life trapped in an (elevated) shipping container in a local backwater, aside from watching the mango tree wither and die?...

Why is the subject matter of who has what class of visa and who doesn't important to anything?

More so, creating obsessive and vicious debate and commentary regarding.
