193 foreigners face visa revocation for faking marriage with Thai women
    November 14, 2014

The Udon Thani Immigration Office has identified 193 foreign men who have faked their marriage with Thai women to be eligible for one-year resident visa

Most of them are Indians and the rest came from Nigeria, Nepal, Cameroon and Iran. An official from the office said these 193 foreigners would see their visa revoked soon.

I was going too make a remark about the ethnic origins of the miscreants, but when I think about it, I know in my area of Udon thani, there are several Germans who should no better, in the same category.
There may be other nationalities but I only know of Germans.

I'm guessing this issue will turn into a club with which Immigration uses to beat anyone they choose. The baseless treatment of anyone under 50 as a common criminal will take on new form. Watch.

I got my marriage visa yesterday at Vientiane , I have been stressing over it for the last 2 years, trying to work out if I need a translation or some other pretense, I made the mistake of getting married in NZ and while it was correct ceremony the Thais have refused to give me the visa, although if I went to Savanakhet and paid 5000 bt the problem resoled its self.
But this time I paid an agent to do it for me, coincidently about Bt5000, same paperwork, and this time the coveted marriage visa was granted.
now all I have to do is get the marriage extension, stupid photos, testimony from a witness all that even though we have been legally married for 10 yrs. stuff them next time I will get a retirement visa, move my Mai Noi in and stuff the visa.

Congrats. Give my best to the new bride.

Mia noi is an immigration officer I suspect.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

New bride, I don't think so Norts 3 times married is enough for any one, even I realize I have a problem with relationships, I think I am quite normal but just don't take kindly to being told what to do.
