Montgomery by night. A very pretty town in Wales.Taken on our recent tour of Snowdonia.
Might do a photo thread but bickering threads seem more popular.

Corbeled Arch - The Siamese, like the Khmer, never developed the true arch and instead used a Corbeled Arch. This at Wat Ratburana In Ayutthaya.

Great pics, Bonglek, Buadhai, yasooo, jesus, delayed, mo, etc... thank you.
This is Vendetta, but I have lost my password and can't log in with Vendetta username.
I really love the b&w pics of Ayutthaya, Buadhai... I've been to Ayuthaya a few times. I actually met up with a few Ajarn members there.
Took these quite a long time ago in Kanchanaburi (2006)

Khmer Prang at Wat Prang Torng in Phutsa, Korat. This 11th century prang (tower) was poorly reconstructed during the Rattanakosin period. More recently the inept Fine Arts Department added the steel support structure which partly obscures the beautiful lintel. This well preserved lintel, in the Banteay Srei style, depicts Indra astride his three headed elephant, Erawan (Airavata).
An earlier photo of the lintel (taken in 2011):

^That's awesome, it reminds me of Angkor Wat.
More of Kanchanaburi. This city was one of my favorites in Thailand. So much history and natural beauty.

The quality isn't the best as I downloaded them onto my computer from Flickr and downsized them.

Chinese temple .. by the way this reminds me a lot of the Temple of Heaven that I visited in 2014.

This little gem is hidden away and now mortared to a new altar at Wat Kham Talay Soh. It probably dates back to the tenth century and was likely used, with many similar pieces, at the top of a rather large wall. Only a few sandstone blocks remain of what was certainly a very large structure.

^That is pretty,, reminds me a lot of what I saw in Banta Srei which is part of Angkor Wat, but the furthest of the three to get to.
