  • Drone Licensing

I called to the office to register my Mavic Air Drone today but was told the license will be 3-6 months. During that time I am not supposed to fly it.

Does anyone know if it would be an issue at the airport to take it with me on a trip to Khao Lak? I use it for my motorcycle riding off road, that's the intention but just thought I'd take it with me on our short holiday.

I'm not an obnoxious flyer so I'd only use when no one is around, if at all.

    It shouldn't be an issue.

Just make sure that the drone goes into your checkin luggage and any batteries are in your carry on and are less than 50% charged.

Its also good to cover the terminals with electrical tape to prevent any shorting. (I've actually got some plastic covers for the terminals of my Mavic Pro)

Most airlines will limit you to 3 batteries.
