Has anyone got any android box recommendations?

I have one but the performance is a bit lacking, constant freezing of picture. Can anyone recommend a good box that won't do this?

Also which apps are the best for live sport and also for just tv (not live) and movie viewing?

I used to use Terrarium for the tv and movie viewing but that's not responding now.

I mainly want to watch the Sky sport channels and also BT Sport.

      HDPrime.

      https://hdprime.tv/hdp-webapp/webapp/

380thb for 30 days of all channels - all the sky sports, all the UK channels, all the sports channels from around the World - BT/BeIn/Sky Sports for football. Buy true money card at the 7-11 to top up.

Use torrents for all the latest movies and TV shoes.

Better than an Android box if that's the content you want.

Presuming you have a Smart TV or a PC connected to your TV.

Unless you have a fast wifi connection none of these boxes really work w/out freeze-ups.
God, the panic within the Dems, MSM, and left must be horrifying...realizing that Joe is really the best they've got.

Never had freeze up on mine with the apps I use. HD Movies, Popcorn Time and Showtime. All the latest TV shows too.

As for Sky Sports etc, also works fine but there are a few Sky Movie channels which do stop and start. Never use it as it is easier to use the apps I mentioned above.

Tons of porn which is illegal of course so I always bypass Kodi!

When I purchased both a couple of years ago, the seller did say True is not so good. But I use true at Bangkea and TOT at Khlong Sam Wa and they both work great. The only issue has been with 3BB at my work office a I've sometimes taken it there. But that's because 3BB keep reducing the bandwidth. 50mb, and after a few days drops to 1.5mb! Have to keep calling the gimps.

Urban areas these boxes work fine when you've got fiber and a good internet provider.
With TOT out in the sticks? - not so much...

I've had a few android boxes over the years, but none of the recent ones.

A few months ago I was contemplating a new one, but instead decided to just buy a dedicated PC and connect it to the TV via HDMI.

The main deciding factor for me was that I wanted a 6TB hard drive in it.

I use one old windows program on it that I need, as my main computer is an old iMac (mid 2011).

The iMac is dual bootable with windows for one old windows program that I do use, but now I just use Chrome Remote Desktop to access the new PC from my iMac. It also allowed me to free up some disk space on my iMac by network attaching the 6TB drive to my iMac.

I use the TV to watch NetFlix and live Australian National Rugby League.
Also use PLEX to watch any other Movies or TV that's been downloaded to the harddrive.

My internet connection is a fairly reliable 20Mb/sec, and the picture quality of the NetFlix & the NRL is acceptable.

That's kinda like my main set-up.

PC with decent 5.1 sound card and video card, 5.1 surround sound system, 50 inch FHD TV used as the monitor, WiFi keyboard and mouse set up on swing table next to the sofa. Use HDPrime for live sports etc, and download movies/TV series etc through torrents. Gotta Fibre Optic 100mb connection for something like 750b p/m. 1080p movies/shows download in a minute or two. PC has Jaysus only knows how many GB's/TB's of movies, shows and games on it.

Been meaning to get a 65inch UHD TV as monitor, but haven't bothered yet.

Don't see any reason to get an Android box, or Kodi, or whatever.

Actually, what's the point beyond sports?
                  The rest is crap...
