  • Shadow Banning vs Being Miserabled

We've all heard by now how the lib media i.e. Twitter, Fakebook etc are Shadow Banning Conservative posts so the question arises - can someone detail the difference between being shadow banned and being miserabled?

    Moi
was a victim of being miserabled on TD quite often. Whether that's done here on TC is anyone's guess.
God, the panic within the Dems, MSM, and left must be horrifying...realizing that Joe is really the best they've got.

Instead of kicking someone off, shadow bans make a person's post visible only to the user who created it. The idea is to protect others from harmful content while eventually prompting the shadow-banned user to voluntarily leave the forum due to a lack of engagement.

Well at least you've never published a crybaby throwing stones in a glasshouse letter claiming to be the innocent victim of vile unwarranted defamatory remarks

You are by far the biggest poster, I see your posts. I doubt there would be any shadow banning. Those posts deemed inappropriate are sent to Soap Box or Bang Kwang where they can still be seen, aren't they?

Khao jai krup...my question is more to the mechanism that TD employs to this day called being "miserabled" where one's posts are adversely affected. Don't believe TC does this but it's good to ask.

What is it? How does it work?

Is this how you dealt with Capt. Underpants?
I visited TC a few times as a guest but had to stop. It is a sickening place. - Aging One

Limits the bandwidth a member can use resulting in a time out when trying to connect. Unlike a ban which removes user account, a "slow" aka miserable does not remove account and can be quickly removed. Only admin can do this. Mods cannot.

In other words, what you're saying is it's a chickenshit method of censoring opposing viewpoints?

Could be or a way of slowing folks wanting to flood a thread with irrelevant nonsense. Was originally installed to stop spammers but now no need to use the slow function as mods can deal with them.
