Visitors entering Thailand without a visa (...) can normally obtain a 30-day extension.
When I last used this in 2012 it was 7 days.Originally posted by Ergenburgensmurgen;n186588

There are so many visas you can get in Thailand. They have the usual tourist visa, non-immigrant visa, marriage visa, retirement visa, 1 year non-immigrant visa, business visa and the permanent visa. In my case, I'm holding a permanent visa. To be granted by permanent visa you must have stayed in Thailand for 3 consecutive with 1 year visa extension and you must have a monthly income of 80,000 Baht if you are single.

What's the difference between that "Permanent Visa" you're on about and the one we have to renew every year whether Marriage Extension or Retirement Extension?God, the panic within the Dems, MSM, and left must be horrifying...realizing that Joe is really the best they've got.

In addition to requirements you state it costs 195,000 baht to get PR. Eliminate the 1,900 baht for annual extension hardly justifies cost to get PR unless you intend to live 102 years to break even. 90 day is free so no gain there. If retired and you want to work simply change visa from Non-Immigrant OA-Long Stay Visa to one which allows you to work.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.
