So, I get up this morning and notice that I can't get my iCloud (Apple) mail. My ISP is TOT.
I try a traceroute to Apple's mail server and it hangs at in-addr.net (203.190.250.213). This, I believe, is a TOT router which is used to access some international sites. I check a few other non-Thai sites. Some work. Some fail.
So, knowing that it will be a time-wasting, worthless enterprise, I call TOT support.
The first thing the agent says to me is, "We don't guarantee access to international sites."
Then, it's on with the usual routine: reboot your router, what is your SMTP server, etc.
I try to cut though the crap and tell her that it is a TOT network problem.
I try to explain what I think is wrong and offer to give her the IP address of the router that is causing the problem. She's not interested. I insist that she pass it on to a network engineer. She agrees to write it down and says she'll pass it on.
I don't believe it.
