  • Airport Rail Link

For the first time yesterday I took the Suvarnabhumi Ariport rail link from Makkasan to the airport. Not too bad if you don't have luggage. All the BTS need to put on more cars these days. Massive overcrowding!

At the airport, noted within the tunnel the train arrives some new (to me) additions to travelers convenience. Little rooms you can rent by the hour but seem as if they'd be kinda claustrophobic.
God, the panic within the Dems, MSM, and left must be horrifying...realizing that Joe is really the best they've got.

Use it whenever we fly in or out of the country. Stay overnight at a hotel near the line and cut out taxi hassles altogether. Cheap and reliable with no worry about getting stuck in traffic.

I use every time i go to the airport. At least (barring breakdowns) you know what time you will get there. There is a Rich money exchange down the ramp behind the ticket machines at the station, which gives a much better rate than the airport banks.
My arrival routine is the same. Train to Phaya Thai, train to Siam, train to Wongwian Yai, SRT to Mahachai. All in all about 2 hours. Not bad considering all the connections. 102 baht total.
The rip off merchants at Wongwian Yai SRT have increased the fare from 6 baht to 10 baht.(6 baht for Thais, but I am yet to convince the guy in the ticket office I'm Thai) I may be cheap but I'm not easy.

Get yourself a Pink Card and you'll be paying the same as Thais for everything.
Free at your local Amphur Office.
