Meth pills were a problem in Thailand back in the early 1970's too. Many, if not most, of the samlow drivers used them. GI's were taking them too.
Thai people were also smoking Thai weed back then too.
If memory serves, the 'meth' pills were generally 'Black Beauty's' and given out by Navy Medics for extended operations.
Re Thai's smoking weed - it was considered socially a negative habit as I remember among the middle-class. Younger Thai's would do bong hits for Jesus (Buddha) though!
God, the panic within the Dems, MSM, and left must be horrifying...realizing that Joe is really the best they've got.

Not the ones I wrote about.
As to military issue amphetamines. I have read about them but never laid eyes on them.
^ as long as big business owned government has control, the people wont be getting any native medicines any time soon.
Big pharma and big alcohol companies are not going to give up control easily.
Yeah, but I guess for Thailand and legalizing the use for medicinal purposes.. it could be good for the economy.
A really good article on the subject.
Some good memories, RC...Especially the ones about the star-gazing in rural areas...
As a kid I remember diving into the stars from a long pier that stretched out into the lake...
At midnight, with not a ripple on the surface, the whole sky was reflected in the blood-warm waters...
I knew it was only about twelve feet deep, but it was an eerie feeling, sinking into the bottomless dark...
Guaranteed to see shooting stars, as well...And planets...And UFO's...Heh...
Incredible summer shows in the Okanagan Valley, BC, Canada...
Sounds like fun.
I don't swim well, so would not have been diving into that water. But, I could have laid down on the end of the pier.
Last time I had a good view of the Milky Way was a few years ago near the Grand Canyon, out in the middle of nothing except roadway, sand, darkness, and a bazillion stars.
