Oh ya and by the way.. I started the 'Log your workouts thread' on Teakdoor way back when.. which is now a sticky and many men post on it and they've jailed me from posting there for almost a year....

So I am entitled to start this thread and post in it as I please along with anyone else that wants to post their workouts and keep track. This is not a judge and post your opinion about my ****ing weight or what I eat.

In Patong today, went for a very early morning walk along the beach, did some Chi-Ging exercise in the light of a full moon.
Observed the little baby crabs busy burying themselves in the sand, young lovers walking the beach holding hands, all goo-goo and ga-ga. And of course the joggers jostling their knees and one dude walking his doggy and tossing him a tennis ball. (reminds me of my old doggy)

So.... You're telling us you've been exercising and eating healthily for years..... yet you're still obese. With 20kg to lose at 5'4.

You need to seriously look at your exercise and eating 'habits'.

Sounds fun, Earl! Chi Gong or Ging? I did a bit of Chi Gong in China, very interesting in moving the energy around.

I just did 40 minute walk around my neighborhood, and there is an amazing orangish/yellow full moon over the water. I got my good camera out but had a heck of a time getting a good shot.

^^FYI, since you are so darned concerned.. I went on a high protein diet where I ate food from a diet company in 2014 and I lost like 20 kgs, but it wasn't sustainable as it was just protein i was eating. After I went off of that, I gained some weight back. I certainly am not obese, I am overweight and want to lose 30-40 pounds, not sure what that is in kilos. Im sure not everyone is where they want to be in regards to weight. I somehow feel like you are being obtuse and rude, and really aren't even on topic. I mean how much do you really care, since you post mainly on Teakdoor where you've kept me in jail while you and your buddies post on the thread I started.

                  Qigong, according to wiki..
Ancient china medicine/exercise, really important stuff if you are aiming for true life and liberty.

I studied with a fellow who learned from a great Chinese master in SF.

The China/Mao/Mofo cultural revolution ran the great medicine and martial art masters out of China..

^Nice, I saw a lot of that in China and Korea in parks especially.

I've been struggling with back issues lately... so trying to take things slow, but that isn't in my vocabulary. lol.. Thank god for my chiropractor who i see regularly.

Today I tried jogging intervals with a very light jogging (3.8 mph), to see how my knee was, as I tore my miniscus last April, and couldn't dream of jogging until recently I thought I'd give it a go. I managed four 30 second intervals of jogging with just a tinge of tightness.. ill continue the trial and error with the jogging. I used to jog 5kms no issue, but that was before I broke the ankle, then tore the miniscus a few years later in the knee. As my chiro says to me, you aren't a spring chicken anymore.. lol.

Jogging is not a good idea.

Walking and Qigong is a way to gather energy and restore life.

There is a cool walking Qigong practice called Baguazang.
                      very powerful stuff..

^I like to do yoga for spirituality, and meditation at times.
Jogging is a way to burn a lot of calories, especially intervals. I lost a lot of weight before when I was running interval training. It isn't easy on the joints though no doubt. I'm just trying to push my boundaries to see what I can do now with my knee, now that it has been about a year, I hope that it has healed.
Obviously I do other cardio like biking outside, stair climber, walking, rowing, etc...

                          ^

                          Yoga is great.

Hatha yoga is very difficult to practice right. Takes many many years to get right.

that said, the main principal of yoga is breath...

                          Breathe.

this is also the main principal of meditation.

                          Breathe.

Just because our breathing is autonomic does not minimize the importance to life and spiritual awareness.

^Yes, exactly. We focus on our breath. A lot of times for Hatha yoga you hold poses longer and by breathing slowly and deeply you can meditate and become more flexible with each breath. I like Vinyasa (flow yoga), where with each faster pose you breathe in with one pose, then out doing another pose. You have to have very controlled breathing and it is amazing once you can do it. I have been doing yoga off and on for 20 years. I go through phases with it, but when I was at the fitness camp in Thailand, I did yoga every single day for an hour with a Thai teacher (outside as well).
