The last couple days there's been on my Island hopping tour a 30's English guy with a local girl who is at best a 6.5, short & podgy. This sad excuse for a man is 'lost' without her, must be beside her at all times & cuddles often. So there we have it, another guy who couldn't get laid back home . Today we were accompanied by another couple, this time a 30's American with a quite attractive tall Pinay, I'd rate her 8.0. He wasn't quite as bad as 'English Wimp' & she wasn't one for PDAs so these 2 were a lot more tolerable
My point being these kano wankers & their pinay girlfriends - I don't want them there - because it's something the guys are doing simply to impress their gilrs, not because they have any real interest in being there. Of course these 2 clowns won't get into water over their head without life jackets on, aren't comfortable using a snorkel, can't dive down to the fish amongst the corals (that's quite good fun) & they soon lose interest preferring to piss off back to the boat or the beach. All the while they have a world class snorkeling site right in front of their face. Fuking pretenders
So no, my snorkeling tours are not to be messed up by playing hero to a local girl
As far as the Coron girls are concerned they lead a simple life & I'm not interested in these backwater birds. Hell they'd have a culture shock if you took them to Manila let alone your own countryLast edited by Mr Tinkles; 08-31-2019, 08:29 PM.

The town of Coron to be honest is a bit of a dump but remember we're here for the Island Hopping tours so it's not so important, apart from the lack of quality restaurants for the evening meals. The majority of the tourists here are Philippinos and the rest, around 30%, are made up of Koreans/Chinese/Whites/Other Asians
There is a Coron Town Tour which is a 4 hour tour of the highlight of the town. Only 2 of the 6 items on the itinerary are really worth doing, that's the Mt Tapyas view deck overlooking the town & the Maquinit Hotspring with water temp 35-40o/c. There's a church visit & the other 3 items on the agenda are tourist traps - souvenir shop visit/cashew nut shop visit/port visit overlooking the islands which turns into hawkers continually pestering the tourists
My tour didn't include the visit to the Mt Tapyas view deck due to threatening rain (it didn't). We arrived at the highlight of the tour, the Maquinit Hotsprings over 1 of the worst dirt roads I've even been driven on. In the west only all-wheel-drives would be allowed
The Hotsprings in a hot country doesn't really work in my opinion. You go from hot & sweaty outside the pool to par-boiled inside the pools & end up a bit heat stressed from it all

A tourist attraction I mentioned yeaterday, Mt Tapyas view deck, is at the top of the hill overlooking Coron Town & Islands
1 Coron Town.jpg
On another Island Hopping tour. Climbing over to Luluyuan Lake, around 70% fresh water, 30% salt water
2 Luluyuan Lake.jpg
Platform to enter the lake - a bit crowded! To the left are some scuba divers, can't they piss off & go play in a swimming pool somewhere? Everybody has to wear a lifejacket as there's been 1 or 2 drownings & you can only go so far 100m or so before coming up against a boundary rope. Yeah bit of a tourist trap
3 Luluyuan Lake.jpg
The Karst topography is quite stunning against the blue & emerald waters

Some slappers for yer. Think the tatt artist must have been plastered on vodka or maybe she 'designed the tattoo herself'

"For divers, Coron's history started on 24 September 1944 when a US Navy strike force of fighters and dive bombers attacked a Japanese supply fleet of up to 24 ships, at anchor, in Coron Bay and around Busuanga Island. After a 15 minute attack they left behind a carnage of burning and sinking ships"
The snorkeling is great too because of the coral reefs & the fish they attract, there's even some wrecks snorkelers can reach as they are in very shallow water

Locals price Vs Tourist price
Water companies charge locals 45php for a 4 gallon reusable container of purified water
The shops charge tourists 40php for the 1.5l plastic purified water bottle. The ones I bought were not refrigerated. Hotels charge even more, for example 80php but they are refrigerated
This is in the tourist trap areas like Coron & El Nido
