for photos, there is the rights of the creator, but how a photographer obtains the photos can affect their rights to possess and publish them, especially when it comes to making money out of them.
You're probably thinking about your historical photos of Siam, so that's interesting and some bits of law and copyright aren't relevant.
there are thresholds of up to 75 years or the life of the photographer + 50 years, so some of your photos from before 1944 may be fine. If you assume the photographer was e.g.: under 70, then you are even more likely to be safe with pre 1900 photos. Chances are that anything more than 100 years old is likely to be OK.
hypothetically, someone could tap on your shoulder about some of them, but it seems unlikely.
