  • Do You Have a Bucket List?

This thread has probably been done to death before, but I was wondering if anyone has a bucket list of things to do or places to see in the near future?

Something I have learned is that life is so short, and sometimes we have to take great leaps of faith and risks to achieve our dreams or hopes.

I hope to work in Thailand (not Bangkok) in the near future and make it to a few places high on my list including Bali and the Philippines. I really want to visit a Christian school north of Manilla where I've been sponsoring a little girl for the past few years and another boy before that who has now graduated. I actually want to go and meet her and her family and see the school.

Bali (especially Ubud area) is a place I've had to cancel going to about three times due to unforeseen circumstances out of my control, so I want to finally go!

I have voices in my head always telling me that I should stay in Canada, and I know that it will be hard to leave (due to family and my car payments), but I think I should go even if it is for a year or two.

Initially (i.e., when I was 18), my list was far too long to fit in a bucket. Now, however, it's only secondary Japanese cities and the Arizona desert that remain unexplored...and those will be attempted in the coming year or two. Otherwise, I'm content with what I've seen and done and don't feel the need to see and do more: NatGeo in my living room is good enough.

      In these economic conditions, no.

Maybe if an investment or 2 pans out, i could think about what id actually want to do other than wrist slashing drudgery

I'd like to see every major WW2 landmark in Europe. Do some illegal urban exploring

You sound like the typical obese westerner who through a freak of nature has more money than a typical asian. You want those kids you sponsored to suck up to you. Western trash. If they were the rich and you were the poor they'd enjoy urinating on your fat carcase.

Brain dead consumerism. Buying a car made you feel good and forget being a fat blob. It's the same mental weakness that has inflicted billions of planet-trashing consumers.

so, back to name-calling and grossly inaccurate generalizations...feeling better?

While you "sound like" the disappointingly typical shit-stirrer who derails threads for personal amusement. Please: control your silly generalizations.

That's cool, tc. What part of the desert? Have you seen the Grand Canyon? That would be amazing to see as well, I'll add that onto my bucket list.

                Ignore the troll, tc.

Angry little ****turd harrysmarkle had to reply. Replying on forums is a big part of his life. If he sees someone that annoys him he always replies. It's a compulsion. One cured with a cord and somewhere to hang it but he prefers alternatives.

                      a) Around Tucson, the Sonoran Desert. I used to own some property in the area but sold it when I realized that BKK was more likely to be my future. I plan to visit southern Arizona some time in 2021. b) You're right. I should take my own advice

So do you have a bucket list or are you just replying to the troll for the sake of it.
I need to try to remember why I ever try on these forums, when it seems like it is only talking about other forums or trolling them.

No bucket list. I spent years working in some of the words remotest areas and got burned out with traveling. My main ambition now is to get the garden sorted.
I visited TC a few times as a guest but had to stop. It is a sickening place. - Aging One
