So, you're better off, bureaucratically speaking, than those with both feet stuck in the swamp.

True enough Hugh but with those two docs (Yellow Book & Pink Card) life here in LOS is a lot simpler. Yellow Book allows one fast access to Government Hospitals (if one should need) and the Pink Card allows the round-eyed farang access - at Thai prices, to National Parks etc.

But not access to a domestic flight when requested to show a passport at the ticket counter

But might not allow boarding a Thai domestic flight when requested to show a passport which this thread is about

But, but, you were requested to show your VISA...

"Couple weeks ago when checking-in for a flight returning to Bangkok I was requested to show my Visa"

Over the past couple years, domestic flights for moi (most recent one 2 weeks ago), the Pink Card was produced along with the flight itinerary and I was good to go. Never been asked for passport or Visa boarding areoplanes in-country travel here in LOS

And the title should have read Passport not Visa and where I used Visa should be Passport in the opening post. My mistake

    good for you.

Back on topic. Like I said…….

For years I have used my Thai driving license as ID when flying on domestic flights here in Thailand.

    That has changed.

Couple weeks ago when checking-in for a flight returning to Bangkok I was requested to show my Visa (should read Passport), which I didn’t have with me. The person behind the counter told me they would have to check with their superior if my Thai driving license would be accepted. When they returned I was told they would allow me to fly but this would be the last time I would be allowed to use the Thai driving license as ID.

It’s bad enough trying to protect valuables (computers/cash) when in unfamiliar hotels/resorts but now I have to be concerned with my Visa (should read passport) as well.

    Pain in the butt.

Must have been it (minion). Checked in on a domestic flight yesterday using my Thai driving license. No problem.
