  • Who in their right mind is going to buy a motorbike with only one seat ?

While out shopping I came across a large display of Honda motorbikes and the one that caught my eye was the Honda Super Cub.

The thing that sprang to mind about this model was - It only has a seat for one .

Now I know that the Thais are very inventive when it comes to loading their motorbikes to the full , but the question I would like answered is

Who in their right mind is going to buy a motorbike with only one seat ?

    Would you ?

Doesn't look practical for shopping, either.

    Nice retro look, though.

Its quite a shift in mindset for many of the old bikers from the west from the higher capacity bikes ridden there to the smaller capacity bikes and scooters in Thailand. My motorcycle friends in Thailand are generally waxing lyrical about motorcycles of 125cc to 150cc and certainly a 250cc is getting up there. In Oz (Qld) a restricted license rider can ride up to 650CC (too big IMO). I currently ride an 1100 cc motorcycle which would be classified a mid size cruiser here and probably the USA where 1500cc to 1800cc motorcycles are fairly common.

Ive never ridden or owned a big motorbike but recently I was standing out side a 7-11 and a guy pulled up on a very nice looking motorbike , when he went into the store I had a closer look and it was a Ducati . It had sort of a red frame work and massive twin exhausts . The largest motorbike Ive owned was a Suzuki Raider 125cc and that was a real speed machine.

May be I'm now to old for a big bike.

I've an AllaDavidson. Some folks worship them in these parts. Im selling it come summer. That leaves me with a 68 and a 72. I wonder what it would cost to ship them to Laos. Sure would be the talk of the town.
