Bangkok 2020 Ya seen one crowded, polluted, stinking town

Can we get some feedback on the current pollution in Bangkok?

How is it affecting you, and how are you dealing with it?

How do you deal with it? Looked out of my daughter's bedroom window as she was getting ready for school and I had reservations about taking her. Heard that all schools in the area were closing but hers, which I found odd being an International school, remains open so I took her out myself.

Other than relocating to another country what options are there? Spent the last weekend at Khao Yai and it was worse. At night at the hotel mountain tops were smoldering or burning. When we first arrived we were directed down the wrong route which led us behind a golf course. The whole field was burning. Whatever your thoughts on climate change there is no denying the pollution be it burning or vehicles. We've casually talked about moving to Portugal or Canada. Basically I am prepared to do what's best for our daughter.

On the subject of climate change, I even considered the Fomm electric car here, but on inspection it is lethal and they want 650k for it. A scooter would rip right through.

I drive a KIA Carnival on a school run and too the office which is a 10km radius trip. We bought it originally to transport the whole family but the GPs a now imobile. Looking to get a smaller vehicle but still, even the small petrol driven ones are not that great,

...an upmarket mask when outdoors is enough...and keep the condo windows and balcony door shut until the city gets some wind or rain...
Majestically enthroned amid the vulgar herd

Before y'all get yer knickers in a twist, this time of year we always get an inversion layer on top of heavy fog in the mornings. Nothing really new here...

Reside as far away from the big bad city as possible.
    Issues resolved.

    • Peon clown when was the last time you were in Thailand during a slash and burn season? Because you sure as hell don’t know what you’re talking about.

Long experience, exposure, and real living situations beats made up [from a distance] mainstream graphs every time.
You should try it - your perspective might be ever changing.

Nothing worse than those with little knowledge, making shite up as they go.
Repeated loud and often enough - all makes it true.
    Phoniness isn't an admired trait.
