    I visited Timba serveral months ago. He's working at Dean and Deluca resturant at Sathorn Square. Good eats.

      I went to his "venture" restaurant on Thonglor, called Green. The place is gone, those places don't seem to survive long.

      The food was crap there, he wasn't even at the Grill, not sure what he was doing there. Great Belgium beer selection though.

      the whole experience was expensive, in a very "average" restaurant, the only strong point was the location, but eventually even that wasn't enough for the place to survive.

      Timba was at his best when he was doing his cooking alone in this funny setup he had, no strings attached like it is in a professional restaurant. A shame he wasn't making money then.

        Not enough guys were going in. Farangs are looking to liv in the cheap in Thailand downing Archer beer and 30 baht bowls of soup. I want to eat at a Timbas style restaurant at least once a week.

            Thanks Norts. I had his number, but lost it when my phone broke. I have been cooking up some nice rib eyes at home, but they do not rise to Timba quality. However, it must be the neat, and not my chefmanship

              Timber is cooking at Dean & Deluca. Located very near Chong Nonsi bts.

                    He moved on. He is now working for Central Foods. Manages all Tops food development.

                      Shucks I reckon I missed out on the Timba phenomena.
                      Sounded delicious!

                      It really is hard to keep up.

                      Still gotta try some of Toppers burger joints. But they are far away from where I hang in BKK.

                      My local khlong toie bkk eating is a mix of chinese, vietnamese, issan, fishy non fishy exotic holes in the wall.

                      So I dont really miss the tasty burgers too much.

                        Most burgers, regardless of their promotion and fanfare, aren't that desirable anyway.

                            Still valid. He works out of Central Chitlom. Big part of his job still involves food preparation. Met up with him last trip to Bangkok. Had a fantastic BBQ at his house.
