I look for things off the beaten path, I am not a bar guy. Never have been.
When I lived in Cha Am I went to a Thai rodeo in Phetchaburi. Was really quite entertaining. The Bull cart racing was a blast.
You can float the Kaeng Krachan river below the damn and swim off to the various slide restaurants. Awesome fun and great places to stay. There is the great Snakehead tournament once a year at Kaeng Krachan Lake. I have caught a few nice fish.
There is the Waterpark in Rangsit where you can wakeboard. I have done that quite a few times and it was a great day to spend a day.
In Chiang Mai there are the strawberry farms, a trout farm and Amusement park. All were quite enjoyable.
Another fun trip was to catch the train to Bangkok. I did this from Cha Am to Bangkok and also did it from Lampang to Bangkok.
If you are healthy enough to do so you can enter the bike race in Bangkok. Starts near Pinklao. They also have a bike run in Lampang to Chiang Mai.
Kayaking along the river in Ao Luk to the under water caves.
Hike to caves in Pran Buri
There are many more, these are just a few I have done. I have pictures from all of the things I have done.
One I have a interest in, but have not yet pursued, is an off-road Jamboree with a 4WD drive club. I have the info and will update after I do it. I will build up a 4wd drive truck in the near future.Last edited by JAFO; 03-03-2013, 10:54 AM.

Just check the equipment. That goes for all sports.

Me ....... I repair things. Anything broken represents a challenge and I feel a compulsion to repair it. Saved myself loads of money and learnt quite a lot along the way.
