How many years do you think Yingluck will be sentenced to, related to the Phue Thai rice scheme catastrophe?
The Nakhon Ratchasima-based 2nd Army has completed the inspection of rice under the previous government's rice-pledging scheme at 297 warehouses in 14 northeastern provinces, according to Col Chinkaj Rattanachit.
Col Chinkaj, the 2nd Army spokesman, said the inspection was carried out between July 3 and 26 in Nakhon Ratchasima, Chaiyaphum, Surin, Buri Ram, Khon Kaen, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Kalasin, Roi-et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Ubon Ratchathani and Si Sa Ket provinces.
The inspection was made by 13 teams of eight soldiers each, or a total of 104 soldiers.
After the completion of the inspection, it was concluded that 4,298 sacks of rice from a total of 23,235,449 stored at 297 warehouses had gone missing. The amount was only 0.018% of the total and did not exceed the 5% margin of error fixed by the committee set up to check the quantity and quality of rice.
The soldiers also found 17,505 sacks of rice, or 0.08% of the total, had been damaged by flooding.

Rice stocks checking show 80% meets declared amount and quality
which could be as high as $9.2 billion in paper losseshttp://thediplomat.com/2014/07/thail...e-rice-scheme/Keep your friends close and your enemies closer

I'll guess she won't spend a day in jail too- but that doesn't mean she won't be convicted. same same takkie, abhi, monk suthep etc.
No doubt a disappointment to the more braying/ blue collar end of the yellow shirts, but they fail to consider the unwelcome publicity and scrutiny it would cause Thailand on the world stage (Bob Amsterdam will be on Cloud nine!). Something their mentors in the 'establishment' are quite aware of. That is why they are all but begging her to go into voluntary exile, which is probably her most sensible option- but not necessarily the one she will choose, we'll see.

I think the charges will simply keep piling up, but the question is whether, as the elected PM, Yingluck will head a Government in exile, or whether she will return and effectively dare the establishment to imprison her, thereby increasing her popularity and igniting a revolution.
Ten year minimum sentence, but will she do "bird"?

Sentenced to two years, serving zero.
I can't see how she can be held liable for a government scheme unless she is proven to have been complicit in illegal activities.
If politicians anywhere were placed on trial for inepitude then there wouldn't be any politicians left . . . . Hmm . . .
This is just yet another red herring by the powers that be

If the belief is that laws should be applied fairly to everybody and that anyone who breaks them should face the consequences ...............fine. Sounds logical.
But why apply the law selectively ? Beating some people ( the ones you don't like ) over the head with it, whilst allowing others to go scot free.
I don't think she should serve one day behind bars whilst Chalerms son gets away with murdering a cop, a democrat MP gets on with his life having murdered a rival in broad daylight at a garage with loads of witnesses, Abhisit and Sutheps murder charges , which predate Yingluks, still slowly dragging on.
Half the establishment should be behind bars along with half the army but instead people obsess about the Shinawatras. Warped perspectives.
