It's been pouring with rain this evening and with that and the Abba music the tourists seem to have shunned the hotel restaurant for more local fare.
Nobody could have been more surprised than me when a group of traditional Thai musicians appeared and started playing. The dancers then appeared and performed for my personal benefit
The place was packed with people, which was very nice to see (getting larger every year). There were booths where you could purchase foods products, plants, hard to find vegetables and even some selling or trying to sell trinkets/toys/etc. The loneliest booth..........
There were two older than dirt white men with beer bellies (no way they could see their feet or..... . Their bellies were huge.) managing the booth. No one, absolutely no one wanted to purchase anything they had to offer while we were there.
