just when it seemed impossible for him to not taste the bubbly! The old fella ( no 46 ) going great again. Gutted that I can't see the races live this season.

Watching the MotoGP is just a few clicks away, as are many other (noisy) sports. Start here. Then select MotoGP, finally the language of your choice. If you have a slow connection close the chatbox on the right side and try to keep other internet-dependent programs at a minimum. Easy peasy... served me well the last few years.

Kind of repetition of last year's race ... only this time it was Marc Marquez that crossed the line first. Jorge Lorenzo had a perfect start and led the race for 16 laps. Then it was MM's turn, until 5 laps to go, when JL swapped places again. With 3 laps to go, Marc overtook and headed for the finish line... his 11th win this season. Behind this pair Rossi, Dovizioso and Pedrosa had their own little fight for 3rd.

Qualifying has just finished and the Yamaha's looking stronger and stronger. For the first time this season World Champion Marc Marquez qualified off the front row and has some work to do as Jorge Lorenzo probably will play an old game; ride and stay away from the pack right from the start. Valentino Rossi will be on his tail and a nice target for both Honda's.

Yamaha 1st and 2nd. The big winner, Valentino Rossi! He's still got the fighting spirit and had the pace all weekend long.

Lorenzo, Marquez and Rossi swapped places a few times but with 19 laps to go Marc Marquez, always driving on the limit, went into a corner a bit too quick and his front wheel slid from under him. Race over.... after push starting his bike he had to come back from last place but managed only to finish 15th. Still leader in the World Championship, though.

Valentino kept the pressure on all the way to the flag and deserved this win. Lorenzo finished 2nd, Pedrosa 3rd.

But what a party there will be tonight, for 'the Doctor', his 107th win in MotoGP, this time on his home circuit and only a few kilometers away from his home. Guess that celebration is going on for a long, long time!

Jorge Lorenzo this time on the top podium, ahead of Aleix Espagaro and the Brit Carl Crutchlow.

A bit of slipping and sliding went on as the circuit turned from damp but drying to wet during the race and many experienced riders went down. Ianone, followed by Rossi went down hard early in the race and were out. As it started to rain harder and with 11 laps to go, the white flag went up and riders were allowed to come in the pits and change bikes (with rain tyres and a slightly different set up) but the front pack stayed out. Dovizioso went down, then Pedrosa and finally, the leader Marc Marquez. Both Honda ran back to the pits for their rain bikes, rejoined the race but were not able to finish at a top 10 place.

Lorenzo changed bike with just a few laps to go and took the victory. Team strategy at work. The top five was completed by Bradl and Bradley Smith as they took advantage of the other riders crashing ahead of them.

Bit of a chaos and Marquez still has a comfortable lead in the championship, but can they hose down a few more circuits, for a bit of excitement?

Now that Marc Marquez has secured this season's World Champion title, let's see if he can (and will) help his team mate Dani Pedrosa a bit to become nr.2 on the leader board. Dani has just as much points (230 pts.) as Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) and Jorge Lorenzo comes close with 227 pts.

                              First 10: On pole, Marquez , 2nd. Crutchlow (!), 3rd. Lorenzo, 4th. Smith, 5th. Pedrosa, 6th. A.Espargaro, 7th. Iannone, 8th. Rossi, 9th. P.Espargaro and 10th. Dovizioso.

Race starts at 12:00 (Thai time)

Moto3 starts at 09:00 (Thai time)

Moto2 starts at 10:20 (Thai time)
With only 3 races to go we might see some firework.
