Does not matter who did the killing. 2 young kids have been brutally murdered. 100 yards away from a beach party with 100 people. Would imagine most of us would feel safe in that situation. The brutality of the attack would suggest that the killer or killers must have had an intense rage to do this to 2 human beings. As they where in beach wear it is unlikely that the motive was robbery.

Wow this story is lighting up. Sperm was found on the anuses of both dead and the vagina of the female.

I still think this arose from this woman playing off some men to see a fight. Alcohol , yabba, sex starved hedonist wanna bees and a mentally unstable woman are a bad mix.

Funny how most of you older guys think all these young partiers are just one big happy bunch. Getting sex , rainbows and lolly pops. Beneath it, men are trying to prove themselves. Some are getting sex and some are not. Normal women are caught in the crossfire as sluts are out house wrecking. Relationships are strained.

And sometimes it ends up like this. Whether it's Amanda Knox or Joran vanDersloot....

A few hours after the incident the Mirror online was reporting the girl had been raped, but then took that down from the article.

          Later the rape reports re-emerged.

          Wonder what that was about?

PHUKET: Sperm has been found during autopsies on both the bodies of Hannah Witheridge, 23, and David Miller, 24, according to Thai media reports today.

The sperm was mixed with sand, according to Khao Sod newspaper. It was found in Miller's anus and Hannah Witheridge's vagina, the newspaper reported.

Khao Sod also carried photographs of a bloodstained pair of pants surprisingly found by police in the luggage of David Miller.

Christopher Ware, a British man who was sharing a room at bungalows on the Thai holiday island of Koh Tao with Miller, is now being questioned at length by police about his relationship with Miller and Hannah Witheridge.

Hyped up media bullshit! That would not be established until after the autopsies.

                  This is more accurate;

Police detain British man over Koh Tao murders

DNA tests have failed to provide a match and police are still working to identify the brutal beach killer of two British tourists on Koh Tao early Monday.

Investigators confirmed Wednesday they have been questioning the roommate of the male victim for possible involvement in the savage murders which mutilated the victims.
Police sources said Christopher Alan Ware, 25, was stopped as he was about to leave Suvarnabhumi airport on Tuesday and placed under police questioning after police found what they thought was a pair of his bloodstained trousers in the luggage of the male victim David William Miller, 24.
Miller and Hannah Victoria Witheridge, 24, were found battered to death on a rocky beach on the island early on Monday morning following a party at a nearby resort.
Investigators who searched Miller's room found a pair of cream-coloured trousers with what they believed were bloodstains on both legs stuffed in Miller's luggage, one of the sources said.
Several witnesses confirmed Mr Ware, who left the island for Bangkok on Monday evening, was wearing the trousers the night the two victims were murdered, the same source said.

Miller and Witheridge were seen partying on the beach with a group of about six people the night they were murdered, the source said.
The stained garment was immediately sent for analysis by the Institute of Forensic Medicine (IFM) at the Police General Hospital in Bangkok, the source said.
Mr Ware was staying in the same room as Miller while on Koh Tao. Witheridge shared a bungalow with a female friend.
Following the deaths of Miller and Witheridge, police ordered Mr Ware to undergo a physical examination after they found some bruises on his body and cuts on the back of his hands. The check, however, suggested the bruises and cuts probably occurred long before the murders.
Mr Ware has been questioned since his detention at the airport on Tuesday, the same police source said.
A DNA test was being conducted to compare his DNA with the DNA taken from a lock of hair found in one of Witheridge's hands, the source said.
Mr Ware had the same colour hair as that in Witheridge's hand, the source said.

Royal Thai Police adviser Jarumporn Suramanee said Wednesday DNA of 12 people had been tested, including nine samples from Myanmar workers and one from Mr Ware.
The tests found none of the DNA matched that collected from semen found in the female victim's body, he said.
However, the tests found that DNA from a cigarette near the scene matched the semen.
He said the stain found on the trousers was unlikely to be blood but a chemical substance.
A police officer who asked not to be named said as police investigators were trying to piece together the murders based on the evidence found and the findings from an initial inspection of the victims' bodies they believed Miller was attacked from behind. The victim was also believed to have engaged in a struggle with his assailant.

Witheridge, meanwhile, was dragged away from the first attack spot, said the same police officer.
The officer said Witheridge did manage to run for some distance but was hit repeatedly in the face with a hoe which suggested whoever attacked her could have held a personal grudge against her.
Pol Col Prachum Ruangthong, chief of Koh Phangan police station, said police were still looking at all possible scenarios for the murder, including a theory that the killing might have been committed by a man of Asian appearance captured on a security camera at the crime scene.
Pol Lt Gen Panya Mamen, chief of Provincial Police Region 8, said later Wednesday the Asian-looking man in question had already been detained and was being questioned. He did not elaborate on the man's identity, however.
Pol Maj Gen Pornchai Suthirakhun, chief of the IFM, meanwhile, told reporters that forensic experts who performed post mortems on the bodies of the victims have confirmed that they had found semen inside Witheridge's body.
The IFM was working to find out if the semen belonged to one or more men, he said.
The IFM would also next compare the DNA from semen with DNA samples of the people considered as suspects in this case, Pol Maj Gen Pornchai said.
The lock of hair found in Witheridge's left hand had been taken for a DNA test, he said.
The IFM chief said the wounds to Miller's hands and bruises on his back suggested he probably fought with his attacker before being dragged to the ground.
Witheridge was found to have died from head injuries. Miller appeared to have also died from head injuries. Water was also found in his lungs, Pol Maj Gen Pornchai said.
There were no signs Miller had been sexually assaulted, Pol Maj Gen Pornchai said.
"From the wounds [to both victims' heads] it cannot be certain what exact type of weapons the attacker used on their victims.
The only fact known here is the weapons were blunt objects," he said.
The autopsies were completed and the bodies could now be released to their families, he said.
Pol Maj Gen Pornchai said the families of both victims were on their way to Thailand.
Pol Lt Gen Panya said six migrant workers and several Thai nationals had already been questioned. In response to media reports that some British tourists associated with the two murdered Britons had already returned home in the UK, he said only three females who were friends of Witheridge had already left Thailand.

18 September 2014 Last updated at 12:14 Thailand murder investigation stalls as DNA shows no match

Thai police admit they are struggling to find the killers of two British tourists, after it emerged crime scene DNA did not match that of any suspect.
Hannah Witheridge, 23, and David Miller, 24, were found dead on a beach on the island of Koh Tao on Monday.
British brothers Christopher and James Ware were questioned but police now say there is no evidence against them.
Officers had said there was "strong evidence" against Burmese suspects, but now say there are no DNA matches.
Forensic tests carried out on Ms Witheridge's body revealed traces of semen from two different men, neither of which matched DNA from Mr Miller, the Ware brothers or 11 Burmese people they have been questioning.
Meanwhile, Thailand's prime minister has apologised after he appeared to suggest beautiful women in bikinis could not be safe.
'Not much progress' BBC south-east Asia correspondent Jonathan Head said police have admitted they "really don't know where to look now".
He said investigators had several problems, including that the crime scene was not sealed off and people were not stopped from leaving Koh Tao after the killings.
"The impression we got from a police press conference [on Thursday] was they haven't really made much progress at all," he added.
He said police were looking for a group of men who were heard singing "Western pop songs" near the crime scene.
Post-mortem examinations showed Ms Witheridge, from Hemsby in Norfolk, died from head wounds and Mr Miller, from Jersey, died from severe blows to the head and drowning.
Police said Mr Miller also suffered wounds on his hands, which indicated a struggle had taken place.
Their bodies were found close to the beach-side bungalows where they had been staying. A garden hoe believed to have been used in the attack was found nearby.
Members of Ms Witheridge's family have arrived in Bangkok and had a meeting with Thailand's deputy police chief.
British consul Michael Hancock said they were "deeply distressed" and it was "very important for the family" to speak directly to a senior police officer.

                    • Population of about 2,100 and visited by between 400,000 and 500,000 travellers per year
                    • Popular with backpackers and divers
                    • Quieter and less developed than neighbouring islands which are known for nightlife and beach parties

The Ware brothers, believed to be from Jersey, were stopped at Bangkok International Airport as they prepared to leave the country.
Police earlier said they were "possible suspects" but did not arrest them. Formally making people suspects is an official judicial process in Thailand.
The BBC understands they have now been told they can leave Thailand.
British freelance journalist Andrew Drummond, who lives in Bangkok, said the investigation seemed to have followed the "same pattern" as those into previous killings of Britons in Thailand, such as the unsolved murder of Kirsty Jones in 2000.
"Police initially seem to always seek the foreigners or the immigrants as the main suspects and that certainly happened in this case," he said.
"We've had a week of toing and froing between British suspects and Burmese immigrant suspects and now we find out that... the DNA doesn't match anybody."

"Can they be safe in bikinis... unless they are not beautiful?" he said.
General Prayuth Chan-ocha, who led a military coup in May, has since said: "I'm sorry that it [the comment] hurt people."
Ms Witheridge's family described her as "a beautiful, intelligent, loving young woman who poured joy into the lives of all who knew her".
In a statement, Mr Miller's family said he was "hard-working, bright and conscientious, with everything to look forward to".

This is a bunch of toosh.

The DNA could easily be from consensual sex previous to the murder . I still think it's a farang who did this out of passion

So you think you know better than the people charged with investigating the murder? Just how stupid are you?

Murdered Briton's Family Pleads For 'Considerate' Media Coverage

                            http://www.khaosodenglish.com/detail...te=06&section=

The relatives of one of the British tourists murdered in southern Thailand this week have requested respectful coverage from Thai media, a senior police officer said.

The family of Hannah Witheridge, 23, arrived in Thailand today to meet with police about their investigation into the gruesome murder of Ms. Witheridge and another British tourist, David Miller, 24, who were found bludgeoned to death in a rocky alcove on the resort island of Koh Tao on 15 September.

"They are not suspicious about the autopsy report," said Pol.Gen. Charampon Suramanee, assistant to the chief of Royal Thai Police. "But they asked the press to present news in a manner that is constructive and mindful of the feeling of the relatives of the deceased."

The comment came amid growing criticism of major Thai media agencies for taking what many are calling an unethical and insensitive approach to covering the murder story.

Many Thai-language and Thailand-based news sites drew condemnation early on for publishing the full names and photos of the deceased before it was confirmed that their families had been notified.

"The insensitivity of the Thai media and police continues unabated," wrote Thai blogger Saksith Saiyasombut on Asian Correspondent. "For next-of-kin to learn of the loss of a loved on a foreign news website is almost unthinkable."

In addition, mainstream Thai newspapers have focused on graphic details related to the murder, copied police notes without checking the facts, and published a number of unsubstantiated claims.

According to Bangkok-based BBC journalist Jonathan Head, Ms. Witheridge's family experienced the insensitivity of the Thai press corps first-hand when they arrived in Bangkok today.

"Disgraceful aggression by journalists trying to film family of Hannah Witheridge in Bangkok," Mr. Head wrote on his Twitter. "Poor people were hemmed in by cameras."

Pol.Gen. Charampon said Ms. Witheridge's family is not ready to give any comments to the press.

"They are still in a state of grief. They cannot yet cope with their loss," Pol.Gen. Charampon explained.

Meanwhile, police are struggling to make progress in the investigation after forensic tests revealed that DNA found on Ms. Witheridge's body did not match any of the possible suspects previously detained the police.
